Welcome to Speaking of Dying Minnesota, where we offer educational workshops and resources for registered nurses (RNs), social workers and health care providers who are seeking continuing education units (CEUs) on the topic of healthcare directives. Our workshops provide an opportunity to deepen their understanding of end-of-life care and advance their professional knowledge and skills in this important area.

RNs can earn five CEUs by attending our Speaking of Dying workshops. These workshops explore the complexities of healthcare directives and provide practical guidance for navigating conversations with patients and their families. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and expert presentations, participants will gain valuable insights into the role of healthcare directives in promoting patient autonomy, dignity, and quality of life at the end of life.

In addition to our workshops, RNs can also earn 1-2 CEUs by attending a viewing and discussion of our “Speaking of Dying” documentary. This powerful film offers a thought-provoking exploration of end-of-life care through the voices and stories of individuals who have confronted their own mortality. Following the screening, participants will engage in a facilitated discussion to deepen their understanding of the film’s themes and explore their implications for nursing practice.
